The following incidents were obtained from Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office incident reports:
A man was issued a warning shortly after 8 a.m. on March 22 for a traffic violation after he ran over a fire hose. The incident occurred on Long Acre Drive near Bonneau. The Macedonia Fire Department was working on an active fire and had a large water supply line connected from the hydrant to the fire truck. The suspect said there were no road blocks preventing him from driving over the hose and he thought he could go over it.
On March 26 a man reported an outdoor air conditioning condenser was missing from a manufactured home. The victim said he had just sold the home. When he entered to place a sold sign he noticed the door open and the unit missing. He said the unit was not installed outside but had been placed inside near the back door for transportation. There were no signs of forced entry. Drag marks were found on the ground leading from the back door toward a gate on U.S.-52. The condenser was valued at $450.
At about Noon on March 24 a man reported that he found a pistol by the roadside at Powerhouse Road and Old Black Oak Road near Moncks Corner. The deputy recovered the .22 caliber revolver from the roadside and turned it in to the forensics department. It was entered into NCIC.
A man reported that sometime during the night of March 20 someone stole a piece of scrap metal from the back lot of an auto repair shop off Old Highway 52. The fence was cut, causing about $200 in damage. The scrap metal was valued at about $100.
A man reported that children have been vandalizing the solar powered LED yard lights at his residence off Oaktree Lane near Moncks Corner. The victim said this is the second time it’s happened. The victim said this is the second time this has happened. The children pull the lights out of the ground and throw the across the yard, damaging them. The victim said he thinks the children’s parents are putting them up to it. The deputy saw four of the lights laying on their side in the yard.
