Red Cross helps St. Stephen family

  • Tuesday, April 1, 2014

The American Red Cross assisted a family of three, two adults and one child, whose St. Stephen residence on Union Lane was destroyed by fire last week.

The Red Cross provided financial assistance for food, clothing, shoes, and temporary housing, as well as comfort kits containing personal hygiene items and referrals to partner organizations to help with the family’s long-term recovery.

Since Jan. 1 the Palmetto SC Region of the American Red Cross has assisted more than 1,000 individuals who have been affected by a disaster.

To help people who have been affected by home fires, call (843) 768-2323 or visit www.RedCross.org/CarolinaLowcountry.
