Special election Tuesday to fill vacant school board position

Voters will decide between Kevin Condon and Jim Hayes for a new member on the Berkeley County School District school board Tuesday, April 8.

The special election was called to fill the position left by Scott Marino, who resigned at the end of 2013. The district covers schools on the western side of Goose Creek and Summerville, Cross and Moncks Corner.
Polls open 7 a.m. and close 7 p.m. on April 8.

The following precincts vote in this election: Central, Carnes Cross Road 1, Carnes Cross Road 2, Lebanon, Pimlico, Sangaree 1, Sangaree 2, Sangaree 3, Wassamassaw 2, Whitesville 1, and Whitesville 2.

Polling locations have consolidated. Check the Berkeley County website, berkeleycountysc.gov, for details.
