“We had a nice turnout in spite of the threat of weather,” said festival coordinator Johnny Broome. “We lost a few vendors because of the rain but with the rides and the crowd the Catfish Festival was a nice success.”

Bob Evans of Moncks Corner took top prize at the Catfish Stew Cook-Off with Anthony Davidson finishing second for the fourth straight year, and Charles Dunning, a two-time cook off winner, placing third.
