East Cooper Community Outreach (ECCO) announces the return of their annual Tournament and Gala fundraiser, the Golf Ball. The two-day charity event will take place at the Daniel Island Club, with the Golf Tournament on Tuesday, April 22, followed by the Gala on Thursday, April 24. The goal for the 2014 Golf Ball is to raise $180,000 from sponsorships, donations and auction sales over the two-day events. All proceeds will directly benefit local families in need, supporting the organization's mission to “provide safety net services to our low-income neighbors, while empowering them to create a better future for themselves, their families and the community.”
The Tournament will once again occupy both of Daniel Island's nationally recognized golf courses. The Gala will feature a special Lowcountry menu using locally grown ingredients and attendees will enjoy live music by Permanent Vacation. Westbrook Brewery is generously donating a tasting station for guests to enjoy their locally made beers. More information is available online at www.eccocharleston.org/golfball.
