Cavs improve to 7-1 with three big wins

Dan Brown/Independent Dustin Parsons improved to 3-0 on the season, scattering three hits in the complete game win over Faith Christian.

The St. John’s Cavaliers improved to 7-1 on the season with three big wins against Charleston Collegiate and Faith Christian.

Luke Hutto fired a one-hit shutout and helped his own cause with a two-run homer as the Cavs swept a doubleheader from Charleston Charter School 11-0 and 6-3.

Hutto allowed just one hit over five innings to pick up the shutout and improve to 2-1 on the season.

In the nightcap, Dustin Parsons’ two hits and three RBIs powered the Cavaliers to a 6-3 win. Hunter Singletary allowed three runs on four hits in picking up his second win of the season.

Against Faith Christian, SJCA made it three straight for the week after a walkoff single by Singletary. Parsons improved to 3-0, scattering three hits in the complete game win.
