In celebration of Black History Month, the Fine Arts Department of Timberland High School presented performances from the students and from the Adande African Drum and Dance Ensemble on Feb. 25. The performance featured an original play written and performed by Timberland students. Thanks to the ensemble and to Ms. Azure Agnew for coordinating this wonderful event.
Oyster Roast and Fish Fry
The Cherry Hill Community Center will be sponsoring an Oyster Roast and Fish Fry on Saturday, March 29 from 1 to 5 p.m. at 1381 Old Cherry Hill Road in Moncks Corner (across from the Cherry Hill Community Center). Donations: $10. Proceeds benefit the Cherry Hill Community Center. Fish sandwiches will be available for sale. Call 899-7739 for tickets and more information.
Congrtulations to Bernard Harmon who won his second State Wrestling Championship in the Class 170 lb for AA, and competed at the North-South All Star Meet in Myrtle Beach, defeating the 4A runner up 8-6 in overtime and the two-time defending 3A state champion 3-1.
Congratulations to Jessie Shuler and Misty Gaskins who were married this past weekend in Jamestown.
