Upper Berkeley Health Walk set for March 29

The annual Upper Berkeley Health Walk for 2014 will be held on Saturday, March 29 at 8:30 a.m. prior to the annual Catfish Festival in lieu of the annual parade.

Free health screening and information will be available in the front of the Thomas E. Myers Building. There is a $10 entry fee and registration includes a shirt. Shirts will be given to late registrants while supplies last. Early registration will be accepted until March 15.

Senior Citizens Day

Harristown Full Gospel Holiness Church members will host “Senior Citizens Day” on Sunday, March 16. Sunday School begins at 10 a.m.; worship service is at 11 a.m.

The church is located at 2217 Harristown Road, one mile around the curve from Timberland High School going toward St. Stephen. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Community Lunch

The St. Stephen Community History Room and Café will be open on Thursday, March 12 from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The menu will consist of

spaghetti with meat sauce served with a tossed green salad and Texas toast.

The cost of lunch is $7. Dine in or take out plates available.

The community café is located on Bay Street, inside of the St. Stephen History Room, and managed by local volunteers. Support from the public is greatly appreciated.

Baseball/T-Ball Registration

The St. Stephen Recreation Department is accepting applications for baseball and T-ball. For more information, call Town Hall at 567-3597, Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Missing Dog

A dog has been missing since Feb. 20 from owners in the Dennis Ridge Road location of Bonneau. The adult beagle is black, brown with white on its legs and isn’t wearing a collar. If you have any information to help, call Will Wrenn at 870-7366.
