THS wins FFA Lower State Division

The Timberland High FFA Chapter Agricultural Tools and Materials Identification Team won the Lower State Region Tool Identification Championship on Feb. 24 at Cane Bay High School.

The team is made up of freshmen and sophomores enrolled in Agricultural Classes at THS. They compete with other high schools from across the lower state.

The team now goes on to compete in the State FFA Tool Identification Championship on March 6.

Congratulations to the sponsor, Mr. Ronnie Ford, and to the following students and their families: Cameron West, Santiago Krall, Dean Wyndham, Randy Cannon, Brandon Maybank, Steve Fulton, Dylan Guerry, Brandon House and Mason Litchfield.

Wesley AME

Wesley AME in Shulerville will host its 198th Church Anniversary on March 16 at 4 p.m. Their special speaker will be the Rev. Steven Love.

From March 19 through March 21 at 7 p.m. nightly, the church will hold its Spring Revival with the Rev. Wilford Kinlaw.

On March 23 at 3:30 pm, the church will host the Xavier Male Choir Anniversary.

Gator Run!

The 38th Annual Gator 10K Run and Walk will be held Saturday, May 3 8:15 a.m. as part of the Annual Hell Hole Swamp Festival.
