Preston P. Bradwell

Preston Presy Bradwell of Awendaw, a retired welder for Detyens Shipyard, died Thursday evening, Feb. 19, 2014. He was 89.

Surviving are four daughters, Mary Taylor and her husband David, and Louise Gaskins, all of Awendaw, Lillian Mitchum and her husband Jearl of Jamestown, and Elizabeth Thomas and her husband Phillip of Cordesville; four sons, Nathan Bradwell of Awendaw, Junior Bradwell, Gene Gaskins and his wife Elizabeth, and J.P. Orvin and his wife Pam, all of Bonneau; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his dog Lady.

Samantha Dawson Driggers

Samantha Lee Dawson Driggers of Summerville, a former school bus driver for Berkeley County schools, died Saturday evening, Feb. 22, 2014 at her residence. She was 47.

Surviving are her husband, Elias Andrew Driggers III; her father, Anthony Sinclair Dawson of Summerville; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Driggers of Summerville; a son, Elias Andrew Driggers IV and his fiancée, Bianca Jude, of Moncks Corner; a sister, Charlene Henricksen and her husband, Wayne, of Summerville; a grandson, Carson Andrew Driggers; and two nephews.

Joe Howell

Joe Howell of Pineville died on Feb. 11, 2014. He was 73.

Services were held Feb. 19 at Mt. Nebo United Methodist Church in Pineville. Henryhand Funeral Home was in charge.

Judson McFadden Sr.

Judson McFadden Sr. of St. Stephen died on Feb. 15, 2014. He was 93.

Services were held Feb. 21 at St. Stephen Baptist Church. Henryhand Funeral Home was in charge.

Charles W. Morris

Charles Wayne Morris of Eutawville, husband of Barbara Ann Morris, died Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014 in a Charleston hospital. He was 71.

Services were held Saturday at Avinger Funeral Home in Holly Hill. Burial was private.

Mr. Morris was born in Chillicothe, TX, a son of the late Clyde Morris and Lucille Earley Morris. A Navy veteran, he was a retired electrician from the Army Corps of Engineers. He retired to enjoy fishing, as well as shrimping and playing golf, but mostly to enjoy his family.

Surviving are his wife of the home; daughters, Shalon (Robert) Hollis and Paige Morris, both of Summerville; grandsons, Brandon and Dallas of Summerville.

Irene Peagler Williams

Annie Irene Peagler Williams of Moncks Corner, a retired cosmetologist, died Tuesday evening, Feb. 25, 2014 in a Charleston hospital. She was 78.

Surviving are her husband, Robert L. “Bob” Williams; a daughter, Deborah S. Sweatman and her husband, Nicky, of Lebanon; two sons, Richard L. Saulisbury and his wife, Carla, of Pimlico, and Colyn Williams and his wife, Amy, of Hollywood; a sister, Elaine P. Rawls of Moncks Corner; a brother, William M. “Jimmy” Peagler Jr., and his wife, Wanda, of Rock Hill; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
