Peggy H. Cumbee

Peggy Hughes Cumbee of Awendaw died on Saturday morning, Feb. 15, 2014 at her residence. She was 67.

Surviving are her husband, Ernest B. “Brantley” Cumbee; her mother, Myrtle H. Dabaghian of Awendaw; a daughter, Wendy M. Taylor of Andrews; two sons, Ernest B. “Brad” Cumbee III and Kenny Cumbee, both of Awendaw; three sisters, Mildred Rabon of Georgetown, Wanda Holly of Ladson, and Linda Hughes of Awendaw; three brothers, Glen Hughes of Awendaw, Craig Hughes of Georgetown, and Eddie Hughes of Hanahan; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Thomas O. Farmer

Thomas O. “Tommy” Farmer of Moncks Corner, a senior project manager for Norcon Global International, died Thursday afternoon, Feb. 13, 2014 in a Charleston hospital. He was 60.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara Wilson Farmer; his mother, Majorie B. Pipkin of Moncks Corner; two daughters, Nichole Markham and her husband, Kevin, and Sarah A. Upham, all of Moncks Corner; two brothers, Robert L. Farmer Jr. and James T. Parker and his wife, Beth, all of Moncks Corner; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Jim Frazier

Jim “Jim Broddie” Frazier of Russellville died on Feb. 8, 2014. He was 59.

Services were held Feb. 15 at St. Phillip Baptist Church in Russellville. Henryhand Funeral Home was in charge.

Marion David Moorer Sr.

Marion David Moorer Sr. of Ladson, a retired owner and operator of D & M Trucking, died Saturday morning, Feb. 15, 2014 at his residence. He was 72.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Teresa White and her husband, Bobby, of Huger and Carolyn D. Moorer of North Charleston; a son, Marion David Moorer Jr. and his friend, Sharon Pye, of Ravenel; two sisters, Elizabeth Hanahan and her husband, Raffie, of Johns Island and Julia Plowden and her husband, Charles, of James Island; a brother, Ronald Moorer; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

Rhunnette Mustapher

Rhunnette “Nette” Mustapher of Pineville died on Sunday, Feb. 10, 2014. She was 67.

Services were held on Feb. 16 at Day Dawn Baptist Church in Pineville. Henryhand Funeral Home was in charge.

John E. Saunders

PO 1st Class John Ervin Saunders, U.S. Navy, Ret., of Moncks Corner, died Saturday evening, Feb. 15 in a Charleston hospital. He was 64.

Surviving are, his wife of 38 years, Christine Ploplis Saunders; and a brother, James E. Saunders of New River, Arizona.

Ronald H. White

Ronald Herbert “Ronnie” White of Lebanon, a retired maintenance supervisor and purchaser for Westvaco, died Sunday morning, Feb. 16, 2014 in a Mt. Pleasant hospital. He was 69.

Surviving are his mother, Sallie Hill White of Lebanon; his two sons, R. Kerry White and his wife, Jennifer, and Craig S. Blevins and his wife, Pam, all of Summerville; his daughter April D. Brant and her husband, Timmy, of Moncks Corner; a sister, Linda Martin of Lebanon; and six grandchildren.

Sarah Ann Winningham

Mrs. Sarah Ann Winningham of Song Bird Lane in Round O, entered into rest on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, while visiting a friend in Summerville. She was 71.

Services were held Feb. 19, 2014, from The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Chapel, Walterboro. Interment followed at Glendale Memorial Cemetery, Walterboro.

Born Dec. 1, 1942, a native of Berkeley County, she was a daughter of the late LeRoy Burbage and the late Marcina Driggers Burbage. She was a retired seamstress having worked for both Berkeley and Summerville Manufacturing. Sarah will be remembered for the love she possessed for others, always willing to do for others in any way possible. She was a member of Faith Assembly Baptist Church in Goose Creek where she was active in many aspects of the church’s work. At her church, she was a member of the choir and participated in the Wednesday night Bible Study.

Surviving are three sons, William James Burbage of Moncks Corner, Clifford Arnell Burbage of Round O, and David Wayne Winningham of Round O; a daughter, Molly Burbage Havens of Summerville; a brother, Lonnie Burbage of Cottageville; two sisters, Margie Barrs of Michigan and Frances Harmon of Summerville; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and the father of her children, David A. Winningham.

She was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Lawrence Burbage; two brothers; and two sisters.

Jarrod “Rod” Wright of Cross died on Feb. 5, 2014. He was 30.

Services were held on Feb. 20 at Zion United Methodist Church in Cross. Henryhand Funeral Home was in charge.
