G. Dewey Johnson

George Dewey Johnson of Moncks Corner, a retired equipment operator for Sanders Brothers and Landmark Construction, died Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 4, 2014 in a North Charleston nursing home. He was 68.

Surviving are his daughter, Amy Elliott of Moncks Corner; five sisters, Catherine Wren Mitchum and her husband, Douglas, and Martha Murray and her husband, Hugh, all of Moncks Corner, Susan Smith of Walterboro, Jeanette Jenkins and her husband, Frank, of Bonneau, and Dianne Wadford and her husband, Ronnie, of Moncks Corner; 10 nieces; 14 nephews; and a special friend, Lynn Still of Cottageville.

Bertha Lee Starks

Mother Bertha Lee Gilliard Starks died on Jan. 25, 2014. She was 89.

Services were held Feb. 1 at Jehovah United Methodist Church in Pineville. Henryhand Funeral Home was in charge.
