Booker crowned by church family

Miss Alexis Booker, daughter of Monica Booker of Pineville, was recently crowned by Pastor Joshua Prioleau and Mrs. Annie B. Stewart as the churchís representative to the Antioch Baptist Sunday School Unionís Queenís Contest, and the 2014 Day Dawn Baptist Church Queen for the year.

This young lady has served her church family faithfully in numerous positions, and her entire church family congratulates her on this most recent honor.

Jefferson Reunion

Members of the Jefferson family Reunion Committee met on Jan. 25 at the home of Beulah Stewart in Pineville.

The goal of the meeting was to review the things that were to have been completed from the previous reunion, and to beginning planning for the 2015 reunion session, which is scheduled to be held in Orlando, Fla.

Members reviewed the list of officers; discussed plans for completion of a survey to determine preferred reunion dates, along with activities and methods of communicating information to everyone.

The next meeting session will be conducted on March 15, 2014, at the home of Beulah Stewart. Minutes of the meeting will be emailed to family contacts.

Expressions of Sympathy

Expressions of sympathy are sent to the following families on the loss of loved ones: The family of Richard Hendricks, husband of Madelyn Williams Hendricks, sister of Senator Dewitt Williams of St. Stephen; and the family of Bertha Starks, mother of Josephine Middleton also of St. Stephen.

We are keeping them and all family members in our thoughts and prayers.
