Even with the forecast of snow looming last week, a sign of spring sprouted like the determined daffodil in the front garden.

Moncks Corner Park and Recreation baseball, softball and tee-ball signups are under way.

From now until Feb. 14, parents can register their boys and girls at Moncks Corner Town Hall, 118 Carolina Avenue.

The cost is $20 for those residing within town limits and $60 for those residing outside of Moncks Corner.

Parents must bring proof of residence, insurance on the child, and will need the child’s birth certificate if it is not already on file.

There will be a late fee of $5 per child after Feb. 14 if space is available.

“We ask parents at time of registration for your child’s shirt size, either youth small, medium, large or adult small, medium, large, or extra-large,” said MCPR Athletic Director Matt Still.

The available leagues offered by Moncks Corner Park and Recreation are:

Tee Ball (Co-ed) ages 4-6

Baseball age divisions - Machine Pitch Recreation 6-7, Machine Pitch Competitive 8 only, Minors 9-10, Youth 11-12 and Boys 13-14.
