Ryanne Dodds of Mount Pleasant and Tyler Chaplin of Pinopolis, S.C., are engaged to be married in February at The Summerall Chapel in Charleston.
The bride is the daughter of Johnnie and Debbie Dodds of Mount Pleasant. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Usselman of James Island, Mrs. Florine Dodds of Mount Pleasant and the late Mr. Johnnie Dodds, Jr.
The bridegroom is the son of Lance and Winkie Chaplin of Moncks Corner. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Cammer of Bonneau, S.C., Mrs. Esther Chaplin of Rantowles, S.C., and the late Mr. Arthur Chaplin.
The bride is a 2006 graduate of Bishop England High School, a 2010 graduate of Clemson University, and received her masterís degree from The Citadel Graduate College in 2013. She is employed as a science teacher at Cane Bay High School.
The bridegroom is a graduate of St. Johns Christian Academy, attended Francis Marion University and received a degree in Forestry from Horry-Georgetown Tech. He is employed as a procurement forester by Carolina Land & Timber Inc., and as a real estate agent by Thomas & Associates Real Estate.
