The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a suspect in connection with a bomb threat made on Feb. 3.

Deputies responded to a report of a threat left on an answering machine at the Vocational Rehabilitation Center on South Live Oak Drive in Moncks Corner, according to a BCSO statement.

A counselor at the center said she received the call at 2:39 p.m. on Feb. 3 in which the caller stated he was going to blow up the building.

The counselor said she had been counseling an 18 year old foster child but had recommended him for termination from the program.

The investigation led to the arrest of Aaron Kayan Drews , 18, of 106 Trenholm Dr., Summerville.

Drews is charged with conveying false information regarding attempted use of a destructive device, according to BCSO.

Drews is being held at the Hill-Finklea Detention Center pending a bond hearing scheduled for Feb. 4 at 7 p.m.
