Ella W. Austin

Ella White Hutchinson Austin of McClellanville, SC, former owner and operator of Ella’s Beauty Shop and a former bookkeeper for Morrison’s Food Service in Black Mountain, NC, died Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 15, 2014 at a Mt. Pleasant hospital. She was 83.

Surviving are a daughter, Elaine H. Raines and her husband, David, of McClellanville; two sons, George Wayne Hutchinson and his wife, Libby, of Mt. Pleasant, and Kevin Z. Hutchinson and his wife, Charmaine, of McClellanville; a sister, Anna Lambert of Georgetown; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Frank Grunsky

Frank Joseph Grunsky of Columbia passed away Sunday evening, Jan. 19, 2014 at his son’s residence. He was 97.

Surviving are five sons, Francis Grunsky and his wife, Ida, of Bonneau, Dale Grunsky and his wife, Patty, of Conway, Alan Grunsky and his wife, Sue, of Davidson, NC, Gary Grunsky and his wife, Carol, of St. Stephen, and Danny Grunsky and his wife, April, of Columbia; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Rose Ivie-Duncan

Rose Ann Brooks Ivie-Duncan of Summerville, a retired cashier for Kerr Drug, died Sunday morning, Jan. 19, 2014 in a North Charleston hospital. She was 72.

Surviving are her husband, Harvey M. Duncan; two daughters, Lora M. Ivie and Gail L. Coleman, both of Summerville; a stepdaughter, Cynthia D. Guerry and her husband, Allen, of Macedonia; a stepson, Chris Duncan and his wife, Bethann, of Folkston, GA; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Delores Brooks of Ohio.

Libby B. Parler

Libby Binnarr Parler of Bonneau, an executive assistant for Berkeley Electric Cooperative, died Wednesday afternoon, Jan. 15, 2014 in a Charleston hospital. She was 68.

Surviving are two daughters, Kim P. Full and her husband, Brad, of Bonneau, and Penny P. Locklair and her husband, John, of Mt. Pleasant; and six grandchildren, Emma E. Full, Anna L. Full, Merritt E. Locklair, Erin E. Locklair, Logan R. Locklair and Landon D. Locklair.

Harvey C. Richardson

Harvey Cain Richardson of Moncks Corner, husband of Frances Cannon Richardson, passed away Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014. He was 76.

He was retired as a finishing superintendent with Georgia-Pacific and had been employed with Central True-Value Hardware for a number of years.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are daughters Debra Lynn Tester and husband, Robert of PA, Ann R. Lofton and husband,

Wayne of Macedonia, and Amy R. Adams and husband, Tim, of Moncks Corner; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Malphrus and Betty Orvin; four brothers, Billy Richardson, Allen Richardson, Jimmy Richardson and Daniel Richardson.

Services were held Jan. 15 at St. Michael Lutheran Church; interment followed at Plantation Memorial Gardens, directed by Russell Funeral Chapel.
