On Wednesday, Feb. 5, General James Livingston, United States Marine Corps, Retired, will speak at the Daniel Island Community Speakers Series. The event is open and free to residents of Daniel Island and surrounding communities. Gen. Livingston is a recipient of the nationís highest award for valor, the Congressional Medal of Honor. He will speak of his experiences in the military and about the Congressional Medal of Honor Museum located at Patriotís Point in near-by Mount Pleasant.
The event is at the Daniel Island Club, in the ballroom. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.; the program starts at 7 p.m., and will conclude around 8 to 8:30 p.m. Business casual attire is appropriate.
Snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are available at no charge. Alcoholic beverages may be purchased. To register to attend, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the number of people attending, your name(s), and a contact phone number.
This program, now in its second year, is sponsored jointly by The Rotary Club of Daniel Island, the Daniel Island Community Fund, the Daniel Island Business Association and the Daniel Island Club.
