The future of Berkeley Stags’ sports shines bright when looking at the kids in Moncks Corner’s Park and Rec sports programs grinding it out on the gridiron and baseball field.

The park and rec fall program wrapped up last week with two tournaments, one in baseball, and a youth football tournament hosted by MCPR.

The Moncks Corner 9-10-year-olds swept the fall season and tournament, The MC Giants won the regular season and tournament championship while the MC Red Sox finished as tournament runners up.

The Giants and Red Sox played each other in the tournament championship at Wescott Park in North Charleston.

On the football side, the Moncks Corner Midget Cowboys, Bantam Cowboys and Small Fry Stags won the Berkeley Youth Football Conference Tournament Championship in Moncks Corner on Nov. 20.
