Cane Bay splits with rival

Cane Bay and Berkeley high schools split on the basketball court Monday night.

The Lady Cobras got 10 points from Makayla Dudley and eight more from Brett Pitcher in a 34-29 victory. Shameque Robinson and Lindsay Manning combined for 16 rebounds for Cane Bay.

The Berkeley boys then defeated Cane Bay 83-62 behind 15 points from Alex Taylor. The Stags broke the game open by outscoring the Cobras 31-14 in the second quarter.

Berkeley hosts Stratford on Wednesday and Cane Bay hosts Ashley Ridge on Friday.
