Foundation sponsoring free baseball camp Nov. 30

The Brandon Blake Foundation will sponsor a free baseball camp from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Nov. 30 for children between the ages of 8 to 18, at the St. Stephen Baseball Field in St. Stephen. Participants must provide their own baseball gloves and cleats.

The trainer will be major league baseball player Justin Greene, a 2003 Stratford High School graduate and 2008 graduate of Francis Marion University. Justin has a .276 career batting average with the White Sox and Diamondbacks, with 608 career hits. He has been named a Southern League All Star, and the Southern League All Star Game Most Valuable Player.

Justin is available for individual lessons, team practices and group lessons; camp and guest appearances; and hitting and base running lessons.

Yard of the Month

The Belle Isle Garden Club announced the most recent winners of the Yard of the Month Award.

Members of the club are honored to recognize Ray and Pat Cotton, 106 Airborne Way in Cross, for the beautiful gardens and yard they have designed.
