The following incidents were obtained from Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office reports:

• A man had communicated with another man through Facebook and text messages about buying shoes. They arranged to meet for a sale at the Strawberry Quick Stop at U.S.-52 and Old Highway 52 on Oct. 26 at 9 p.m. The victim said he had a pair of Air Jordan 4’s for sale for $175.

The victim said he was waiting in the parking lot when the suspect pulled up in a gold Honda Accord. The subject got out and said, “I have the money in my pocket. Let’s see the shoes.”

The victim opened the shoebox and a second person got out of the subject’s car and pulled out a black semi-automatic handgun, racked it and said, “Get the shoes.”

The first subject grabbed the shoebox and the assailants drove toward Moncks Corner. The victim was able to write down the subject’s license plate number.

• On Oct. 25 a deputy responded to Riverbank Road in Pineville in regard to the recovery of a stolen vehicle. Dispatchers received an anonymous compliant that a stolen car was located behind a residence.

A deputy located the vehicle and after an NCIC check confirmed it was stolen. The vehicle was towed to a facility in Bonneau.

• The evening of Oct. 25 a suspicious fire was reported on Fantail Avenue in Cross. The victim said he and his two sons were inside the home getting ready for dinner and one of the sons smelled smoke. They went outside to see that one of the A-frame structures in the goat pen was on fire.

They called 911 and attempted to put out the fire. The fire department responded and extinguished the blaze.
