Brothers killed in Sunday accident

Two brothers were killed in a tragic car accident Sunday evening.

According to Berkeley County Coroner Bill Salisbury, a Ford Focus driven by 23-year-old Christopher Bracewell of Moncks Corner collided with a vehicle at the intersection of North Hampton Road and Highway 41. The accident took place at 6:30 p.m. in the Huger community of Berkeley County.

Jonathan Bracewell, 20, was a passenger in the car.

The Bracewell brothers were pronounced dead at the scene by Salisbury. Four people in the second vehicle were transported to the hospital.

The deaths are ruled accidental with body trauma as the cause of death. All six people were wearing seatbelts and the accident is under investigation by the Berkeley County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
