The Goose Creek volleyball team swept Hanahan 25-13, 25-20, 25-21 on Oct. 15, making for a successful senior night for the two seniors leaving the program after the season.
It was the final home match for captains Kalexia Wilson and Diemend Richardson.
Wilson, an outside hitter, led the team with 19 digs while the setter Richardson had 28 assists. Sophomore Shakayia Wilson made 20 kills. Richardson added 18 digs.
Goose Creek was swept in matches against Wando and James Island on Thursday, Oct. 17.
The Lady Gators lost 25-11, 25-6 to Wando and almost beat James Island before falling 25-23, 17-25, 22-25.
Shakayia Wilson had nine kills and 14 digs against the Lady Trojans. Richardson made 23 assists.
Richardson needs 42 more assists to reach 500 for the season while Shakayia Wilson has 208 kills and 204 digs.
The Lady Gators carried a 14-14-2 record into the regular season finale at Cane Bay on Oct. 22.
The playoffs are set to begin on Oct. 29.
