Take a walk down Cario Middle School’s seventh grade hallway, and you will be entering “The compassion zone.” Cario’s seventh grade is using compassion towards others as the overriding theme for the 2013-2014 school year.
As part of this initiative, Park West Campus Education Fund board member Kathleen Forbes visited Cario along with Susan Gourdine, PTSO co-president, to give a presentation and lead a discussion, “Philanthropy 101.” Students explored the basics of volunteering and charitable giving, including discussing ways they could help in their community.
