Charleston’s Original Maze and Pumpkin Patch will be open weekends through Oct. 27. This event will be held on the farm, located at 2620 Hanscombe Point Rd., Johns Island. There is a $1 gate fee regardless of age, for all attendees, however the farm is offering special group plans for Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, church groups and clubs. There are special rates for birthday parties held during October. A coupon for free gate admission is available at www.legarefarms.com.
The month long festivities will include a 10-acre myrtle maze, the pumpkin patch, hayrides to feed the cows, Scarecrow Factory, mini maze, farm animal display, gem mine and duck race. There will also be concessions. Prices vary by activity. The Pumpkin Patch and Maze will be open to the general public on weekends. Hours are Friday 5-9 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday 1 to 6 p.m. Field trips for school groups are available weekdays with reservations.
Legare Farms will have their Haunted Maze and House on Friday, Oct. 25 and Saturday, Oct. 26. The haunted event will take place from 8 until 10 p.m.
