On Friday, Sept. 27, Whitesides Elementary hosted more than 500 grandparents and guests for a picnic lunch.

Representatives from Charleston County School District’s Food Services were on site to assist with serving lunch to our guests. Students, guests and grandparents were able to dine inside, on the patio or school grounds. Students and grandparents were also able to participate in the book fair to promote literacy and also share stories of their elementary educational experiences.
