County wins grant to promote free downloadable services

  • Friday, October 4, 2013

Charleston County Public Library received a $10,000 federal grant to help educate the community about the library’s free downloadable eLibrary services.

The grant funds will allow the library to purchase equipment and develop a presentation to introduce residents the free downloadable services available on the library’s web site – www.ccpl.org. Library users can download eBooks, audio books, magazines, music, music videos and access interactive children’s storybooks and activities – all for free with their library card.

Once completed, library staff will make the Spotlight on the eLibrary presentation to neighborhood associations, school groups, business organizations and other community groups.
