Each week, the Moultrie News and Mount Pleasant Recreation Department will feature local cross country athletes participating in the department.
Addison Tallmadge, 8, and Heath Soho, 7, both run with the Mount Pleasant Track Club.
Question: If you could be anyone for a day, who would you be?
Addison Tallmadge: Maria Sharapova, because I love tennis.
Heath Soho: I would like to be a P-51 Mustang Fighter pilot.
Q: What is your favorite Mount Pleasant restaurant?
AT: Grimaldi’s, they have awesome pizza.
HS: Longhorn Steakhouse.
Q: What is the best moment in your athletic career?
AT: Winning a tennis trophy from playing in a tournament.
HS: Winning the Kid’s Summerville Triathlon.
Q: What is the best advice you have gotten from a coach?
AT: My tennis coach, coach Jack, says to always keep your eye on the ball and stay focused.
HS: Train hard and keep a positive attitude.
Q: What do you look forward to the most about being an adult?
AT: I look forward to being able to decide if I want to be a pediatrician or a marine biologist.
HS: Having a retirement party.
Q: What do you think are the most difficult and most fun aspects of track?
AT: Difficult: running far distance; fun: sprinting and speed running.
HS: Difficult: running up hills; fun: making new friends.
Q: What is your movie and TV show?
AT: Movie: “Teen Beach” and TV show: “Sam and Cat.”
HS: “River Monsters.”
Q: If you could have dinner with any three people who would you choose?
AT: Taylor Swift, Selena Gomez and Maria Shara pova.
HS: Scott Logan, Jeremy Wade and Grandpa Walter.
