Providence Homecoming set for Oct. 27
 
Providence Baptist Church Homecoming will be held on Sunday, Oct. 27 with gospel group HI Cotton" at 11 a.m. Dinner will be held on the grounds after the service.
 
Fundraiser
 
Hood's Chapel UM Church will hold a rummage sale inside the Fellowship Hall on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. 
Barbeque sandwiches, slaw, chili, and beverages will also be sold.
Chicken bog will not be on the menu, as was previously reported in this column.
This fundraiser is needed to raise money for a new roof on the church.
 
American Heritage Girls
 
In Macedonia many girls are ending their Girl Scout Troop years to begin with American Heritage Girls.
A meeting for parents and volunteers interested in American Heritage Girls will be held on Oct. 10 from 7 to 8 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church at 1120 Mail Route Road in Macedonia. It is open to girls K-5 to 12 grade.
Meetings will start Nov. 7.
