St. Stephen UMC bazaar this weekend

The members of St. Stephen United Methodist Church (183 Hood Street) would like to extend a warm welcome to the public to join them for their annual Fall Bazaar Fundraiser.
The fundraiser will be at the church and begin on Friday, Oct. 4 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and end on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
There will be a variety of handmade crafts made from wood and sewing on display. Many of the crafts can be chosen for gifts and future holidays.
Delicious home baked desserts available for purchase to take home. Lunch will be served both days, for a small cost, consisting of homemade soup, cornbread and hot dogs.

October Festival

The St. Stephen October Festival begins Oct. 11 at 4 p.m. and will continue until 10 p.m. on Oct. 12.
Mark your calendars and plan to bring family and friends to enjoy amusement rides, vendors, fire fighter competition, entertainment, puppets and much more. A schedule of events flyer will be in the Berkeley Independent the week of festival.

Berkeley County Library

The Berkeley County Main Library at1003 Highway 52 will host a free workshop on Tuesday, Oct. 15 from 10:30 a.m. until Noon that will center on Microsoft Word 2013.
Adults must have experience using a keyboard and a mouse.
Register for the workshops and others at www. bcls.sc.gov or call 719-4223. A workshop on Google was held Tuesday morning.
