Kimberly Brewer, a sixth grade ELA teacher at Berkeley Middle School, has been working with her students to research Native Americans and pioneers after the class read “Weasel.” Students ended their first unit with a Native American feast, enjoying venison medallions, biscuits and homemade jelly, pecans, and home-canned pickles string beans. Pictured above are Brewer, her students, assistant principal Amy Ray-Smith, and guidance counselor Patty Hill.
