Mount Pleasant Town Council member Linda Page helped bag groceries during Whole Foods Market’s Five Percent Day. As beneficiary, East Cooper Meals on Wheels received five percent of net sales at the Mount Pleasant store.
“We are grateful for Whole Foods Market’s civic spirit,” said Page as she bagged bags during her shift. “This important donation will help deliver meals to seniors and other homebound residents in the community. Both organizations should be commended for their community outreach and civic pride.”
East Cooper Meals on Wheels and Whole Foods Market have partnered on previous occasions, including Feed the Need, Meals on Heels, Grab & Give and A Meal to Remember Gala & Auction. In total, the grocer has donated food and beverages valued at over $16,000 to help ECMOW fulfill its mission.
