5 arrested on meth-related charges
The Berkeley County Sheriff's Office arrested five people following the discovery of a meth lab on Sept. 12 near Moncks Corner.
Drug enforcement unit deputies executed a search warrant at a residence located at 108 Messina St. and found items used to manufacture methamphetamine as well as a “shake and bake” methamphetamine lab at that location, according to a BCSO statement issued Friday afternoon.
Agents also discovered a clear plastic bag and a Pyrex container with a white powder substance that tested positive for methamphetamine, according to BCSO.
Kevin Kinsey, 37, Joey Patrick Kinsey, 25, and Brandy Jessica Craven, 24, of 108 Messina St. were arrested and charged with manufacturing meth. Kevin Kinsey and Joey Kinsey are additionally charged with possession of meth.
Also arrested and charged with manufacturing meth were Hilery Stidham, 34, of 139 O.T. Wallace Dr., Moncks Corner and Charles O'Neal King, 33, of 1112 Richard Dr., Summerville.
The bonds for both Kinseys were set at $50,000 each on Friday evening, according to the Hill-Finklea Detention Center website. Bonds for Craven, Stidham and King were set at $25,000 each.
All five suspects were still incarcerated as of press time Monday.
