Davis to speak at Providence Baptist
Connie Maxwell Children's Home President Dr. Ben Davis will be the guest speaker at Providence Baptist Church on Sunday, Sept. 22 during the 11 a.m. service.
Dr. Davis will be sharing information about the 72 children that reside in nine family- styled homes on the main campus in Greenwood, as well as the Home’s other campuses.
The mission of the Connie Maxwell Children's Home, a Baptist ministry for children and families of South Carolina, is to care for children while developing and strengthening positive relationships in a Christian environment.
Providence invites you to attend as Dr. Davis shares his heart for missions and how these ministries impact the children of our state.
Providence Baptist Church will have its Fifth September Sunday Special Singing Service during the Worship Service at 11 a.m. with Lord's Supper and dinner to follow.
Hood's Chapel UM Church will hold a rummage sale on Saturday, Oct. 5 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. The sale will be inside the church in the fellowship hall.
The church will also be selling barbecue sandwiches, chicken bog, and chili, and slaw. Come out and look around … there will be a variety of items.
Hood's Chapel will also have praise and worship with dinner afterward on the fifth Sunday, Sept. 29. Homecoming is on Sunday, Oct. 27.
