Charleston Southern University was scheduled to dedicate its Christian Leadership Building Wednesday morning.
The 26,500-square-foot facility houses the CSU Center for Christian Leadership, classrooms, conference space, a resource and research center and offices for the School of Christian Studies, the history and political science department, the criminal justice department and the Dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
"We envisioned a critical need for a signature building to house our Center for Christian Leadership more than a decade ago,” said CSU President Dr. Jairy C. Hunter Jr. “The dedication of our new Christian Leadership Building will be a dream come true to the CSU family.
“This state-of-the-art conference center will be a global resource to anyone seeking information and guidance on Christian leadership principles."
The University will dedicate expansions to Derry Patterson Wingo Hall, which houses the College of Nursing and Allied Health, Friday, Oct. 11 at 9 a.m., and the Hunter Reception Center Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 9 a.m.
In addition to these new facilities, Charleston Southern has opened an Athletics Center, a softball press box, and the school added lights to the baseball field in the last year.
