The Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in connection with a shooting on Aug. 25. The BCSO announced the arrest in a release on the afternoon of Aug. 27.
Shaquille Mileak Jamal Washington, 17, of 1009 Saint Irving Drive in Huger, was arrested and charged with murder.
The shooting happened about 4 a.m. Aug. 25 at “A Place In The Woods” located at 1020 Hamlin Corner Road just off Cainhoy Road. A victim was found severely wounded in the parking lot of the building and transported to a Mount Pleasant hospital where he died a short time later.
Washington was taken to the Hill-Finklea Detention Center.
