The American Red Cross is always in need of disaster trained volunteers who respond to the needs of those individuals devastated by disasters, such as home fires and floods.
The Red Cross is also in need of volunteers trained to help in our community in the event of a large scale disaster such as a hurricane.
Anyone interested in becoming a Red Cross volunteer should visit www.redcross.org/carolinalowcountry and click on volunteer to register for one of our upcoming classes. All classes are free and open to the public.
Classes will be held on Sept. 10 from 6 – 9 p.m.; Sept. 21 from 9 a.m. to Noon; Oct. 8 from 6-9 p.m.; and Oct. 19 from 9 a.m. to Noon.
All classes will be held at the American Red Cross Carolina Lowcountry Chapter at 8085 Rivers Avenue in North Charleston.
