Concerned Citizens meeting set for Sept. 5
A Concerned Citizens meeting regarding the Martin Marietta rezoning request has been tentatively scheduled to take place at 7 p.m. on Sept. 5 at New Mt. Zion AME in Jamestown.
Most of you are aware that Martin Marietta has requested rezoning of 395 acres of land to Heavy Industrial at the quarry in Jamestown, also known as Georgetown II Quarry.
Other scheduled meetings are as follows; please note that meetings are subject to change.
Sept. 9 at 6:30 p.m., Berkeley County Land Use Committee, Recommendation and Second Reading.
Sept. 23 at 6:30 p.m., Berkeley County Council, Second Reading (Public input allowed).
Oct 14 at 6:30 p.m., Land Use Committee, Recommendation and Third Reading.
Oct 28 at 6:30 p.m., Berkeley County Council ,Public Hearing, Third Reading (Public input allowed).
Check the calendar at berkeleycountysc.gov for more information. All of the Land Use and Council Meetings are on Mondays and are held at the Assembly Room in Moncks Corner.
