Rachel Kate will hold an album release event for “With Love and Hate” live at the Charleston Music Hall on Saturday, Sept. 14. Special guests will be The Kernal and Jordan Igoe. Doors open at 8 p.m. and show will start at 9 p.m.

Feisty Power Folk from Charleston, Rachel Kate (Gillon) was born in Nashville, Tenn., and will continue to be raised. Rachel Kate creates creations from the soul.
Rachel Kate is one of the staples of Charleston’s local music scene, and The Charleston Music Hall is thrilled to celebrate the release of her new album on Sept. 14. She broke into the Charleston music scene with the wildly successful band, The Shaniqua Brown Band, and has also played with other local groups, such as The Local Honeys. “With Love and Hate” is Rachel Kate’s first full length solo album and will be available in all formats (including vinyl) at the show.
