District Seeking Help
Berkeley County schools began on Monday, Aug. 19.
The school district is seeking volunteers to give what they can of their time for the 31,000 Berkeley County School District students. The district is seeking volunteers who can give as little as an hour a month or as much as possible of their time.

The Berkeley County Library has extended the contest asking for help to name the new mobile library.
The winner receives a new iPad mini courtesy of the Friends of the Library. All entries are due by Aug. 31.

Bring Sam Home
A family has lost their two year old Maltese who went missing from their
home near the Berkeley Country Club in Moncks Corner, on Friday night Aug. 2. Sam is a white male who weighs 4.6 pounds. A reward is being offered. If anyone has information to help find Sam and return him home, call 532-2208 or 819-9144 or email email@example.com.
Friends of Berkeley Blueways
Paddlers are needed to volunteer to help clean up Chimney Island on Lake Marion and also clean up the shore to the left and right of the Duck Pond Trail on Lake Moultrie. The cleanup will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21 as part of the SC Beach/River Sweep. Bags and gloves will be provided.
