Bring Sam home! Lovable pooch goes missing
A family has lost their two-year-old Maltese, who went missing from their home near the Berkeley Country Club in Moncks Corner on Friday, Aug. 2.
Sam is a white male who weighs 4.6 pounds. His family is very anxious for him to return home. A reward is being offered.

Statewide Book Drive
South Carolina is holding a statewide book drive that will last until Saturday, Aug. 17. Drop-off gently used or new book donations at any DMV location. Donations of history and children’s books, especially, would be appreciated.
All donations will be given to rural libraries and to schools.
Friends of Berkeley Blueways
Paddlers are needed to volunteer to help clean up Chimney Island on Lake Marion, and also the shore to the left and right of the Duck Pond Trail on Lake Moultrie.
The cleanup will be held on Saturday, Sept. 21 as part of the South Carolina Beach/River Sweep. Bags and gloves will be provided.
