Cross High School’s 16th Annual Kids' Day, benefiting hundreds of children and their families in eight rural communities, will be held on Monday, Aug. 26at the school.
Continuing the success of last year’s event, it will be held at the dismissal of students during a regular school day and just prior to the CHS annual open house. Kids’ Day will be held from 3:30 to 6 p.m. and open house from 6 to 8 p.m.
Organizers anticipate a high number of children and adults to be in attendance.
Local organizations and businesses are currently being sought to take part in the annual event. Exhibits are needed for children and adults to receive information and ask questions. Donations or prizes are also being accepted. If you have a mobile unit, interactive activities and games, conduct screenings, or have other services, they would be appreciated.
If you cannot physically participate, brochures and giveaways can assist the school’s efforts. Arrangements can be made for pickup.
For more information on how to participate, contact Theresa S. Prioleau at (843) 753-7045.
The event is co-sponsored by CHECK – Communities Helping to Encourage Change in Kids. CHECK is a non-profit, action-oriented youth and community-based organization. Cross High School has co-sponsored this event since its inception.
