Jefferson Reunion

Heirs of the late Rev. John H. Jefferson Jr. traveled from near and far to celebrate their connections and history, July 19-21 in Moncks Corner.
After a moving prayer service and banquet, attendees were treated to an interesting and historic Gullah Reading by Ruth Middleton. The family was then graced by a second inspirational performance from the Orangeburg Fusion Dance Company; and as the second dance performance of the evening came to a close, Joletta Barnes, thrilled everyone with her masterful vocalization of “Titanium,” which garnered her a standing ovation.
The speaker for the occasion, Rep. Joseph H. Jefferson Jr., was presented to attendees in an eloquent fashion by grandson, Ryan Patterson.  The message, which focused on heritage, family, and mission, was timely and excellent.
A wonderful time was had by everyone and commendations go to the 2013 officers, all committee chairs and members for an outstanding family gathering.
