The following incidents were obtained from Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office incident reports:
• A construction manager for Lamar Homes called authorities the morning of July 17 to report $1,660 in building materials were missing. The construction site is located at 215 Button Bush Court. There were 85 sheets of plywood and 10 rolls of roofing felt missing.
That same morning the same construction manager reported that 85 sheets of plywood and five sheets of roofing felt were stolen from a construction site at 1013 Bald Cypress Drive. The total value of missing items is estimated to be $1,575.
• A Pintail Road man tattled on his neighbor with whom he has had ongoing disputes. The victim said the neighbor was mowing his lawn along the sea wall and grass from the mower blew into the victim’s pontoon boat. The victim requested an information report.
The officer spoke with the neighbor, who said he mowed his lawn earlier but did not intentionally cause harm to his neighbor’s property. There was no visible damage from the grass clippings.
• A Cross man said he was assaulted July 13 at about 1 a.m. The victim said he was in the parking lot of the Red and White when a verbal altercation began between him and a suspect.
The victim said all he can remember is being hit in the left side of the face with a glass bottle. The officer made note of the victim’s swollen eye, which had turned red. The officer took a photo of the injury to be placed into evidence. The victim said he was unable to provide information on the suspect and could not fill out paperwork without his glasses.
