Just out for a smoke

  • Friday, July 26, 2013

An 18-year-old kid cruised slowly by a police patrol car one afternoon smoking a joint.

The officer could plainly see him puffing away and turned around to follow the driver.

The vehicle swerved across the fog line, according to the incident report. The officer also noticed a dark plastic cover over the license pate which was not DMV issued.

After the driver swerved several more times, the police officer pulled him over.

The report said the officer could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle. He could also see what appeared to be shake all over the seats and the floorboard.

In addition, the driver admitted to smoking a blunt and taking Xanax illegally.

He was arrested and taken to jail and charged with possession of alcohol underage, possession of scheduled 4 controlled substance, simple possession of marijuana and possession and drug paraphernalia. He was allowed to call his mom and dad to let them know what happened.
