Girl Scouts’ ‘Mad Science Camp’ a hit in 2013
Girl Scout Troop 250 of Victory Baptist Church in Macedonia recently hosted Mad Science Camp 2013.
Twelve girls from across the Lowcountry from Summerville to Alvin enjoyed doing lots of experiments in all areas of science.
While taking part in a host of fun activities and experiments, the girls discovered that scientists don't have to look like Einstein! The girls had an amazing time getting to know each other, testing new things and determining their results using the Scientific Method.
There are openings to join Girl Scouts in Macedonia from Kingergarten through sixth grade.
Thanks to Victory Baptist Church for its facilities and to all the parents for sharing their girls. Troop 250 sponsors Twilight Camp for a week each summer.
Keep an eye out to join them next summer.
The Scouts are also looking for girls to be part of the Berkeley County FLL Lego League Team. Girls ages 9 to 14 that have an interest in robotics, building, programming and helping the community should contact April, Girl Scout 250 Troop Leader. at 789-0039 for details.
