Call to Action
A resident of the Pineville Community and someone who has been an active worker for God on the local, state, national and international levels, needs the love and care of his Christian brothers and sisters.
Elder Jeremiah Washington, who has brought help and hope to residents of this area through the refurbishing and building of homes for persons in need, and traveled abroad as a member of Missions Programs to assist in digging water wells to improve living conditions in other countries, is presently in ICU at Roper St. Francis Hospital in Charleston.
His needs are significant at this time, and financial assistance would be welcomed. He has not requested this assistance, but the provision of this support would do much to alleviate the extensive medical costs being incurred for the level of required treatment.
The Tri-City Outreach Ministry has accepted the challenge of responding to this need, by requesting the assistance of those that are willing and able to come to his aid. Contributions of any level, made out to the Jeremiah Washington Medical Assistance Fund, are to be mailed to the Tri-City Outreach Ministry, PO Box 238, Pineville, SC 29468.
You are thanked in advance for any assistance provided. Mr. Henry Smalls is President of the Tri-City Outreach Ministry Organization.
St. Stephen High School Reunion Event
The St. Stephen High School Reunion Committee presents “Home for the Holiday: a Red Carpet Affair.”
The celebration will commence on Nov. 30 at 7 p.m.
The community project for this year is to support the Callen Lacey Center of Moncks Corner, which provides a safe haven for the children of Berkeley County.
Anyone interested in receiving information regarding the reunion or associated project may contact Charlotte Shepherd at (404) 353-0727 or Karen Jones at (843) 607-8408.
Six years ago Al and Karen Marsch, along with Hazel Modica, felt called by God to lead the youth of St. Phillip Benizi Community through a special Youth Ministry Program.
They provided untiring love, support, service and numerous unique experiences to and for the children of the Parish. Al and his teammates recently passed the torch to Alex Oubre, who will take on the role of Youth Minister.
In a moving letter to parishioners, Al expressed his deep appreciation and gratitude for the opportunity provided and the support received as the role was implemented.
I felt it appropriate, on behalf of everyone, to say a special thank you to the retiring team, on a job well done; as I also wish Alex well as he continues this extremely worthy role.
