The following incidents were obtained from Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office reports:
• A Summerville man reported that someone stole an amp and speakers from his Jeep while he was incarcerated. The theft occurred off Farrell Street. A 200-watt Alpine amp and two 12-inch Sony Explodes speakers were taken. The incident occurred sometime between 11 p.m. on July 17 and Noon on July 18. The victim said he has possible suspects in mind but does not know if the information is reliable.
The missing items are valued at $200.
• A deputy responded to Clarksbranch Road near Moncks Corner at about 10:30 p.m. on July 12 after a complainant reported an unwanted, intoxicated subject was on his property causing a disturbance.
A subject was arrested for disorderly conduct and open container.
• A deputy responded to a Mitten Road residence for vandalism at about 2:15 a.m. on July 19. The victim said his son came home from a club off U.S. 52 in Moncks Corner and was highly upset.
The subject kicked the bottom glass out of the storm door of his father’s residence and entered his bedroom attempting to retrieve his shotgun so he could return to the club with it; the complainant stopped him from getting the gun.
The subject then started throwing shotgun shells at a bedroom wall. One shell bounced off the TV on the wall and shattered a picture frame. The subject fled on foot in an unknown direction.
A deputy arrested the subject for malicious damage to property.
• A North Charleston man was arrested on July 4 after attempting to shoplift more than $7,000 in items from the Goose Creek Walmart. The subject had $5,957 in consumable goods – described by the loss prevention officer as a large amount of seafood and meat – plus $173 in household goods and $976 in clothing.
The suspect was found at 12:20 p.m. at a bank across the highway. The store’s loss prevention office identified the suspect, who had also put a vacuum cleaner in the shopping cart. He left the store passing all points of sale without paying. When the loss prevention officer confronted the suspect he fled on foot.
The suspect, who has three prior shoplifting convictions, was taken to the detention center.
