The Rotary Club of Mount Pleasant recently honored two of its members with awards for Rotarian of the Year and the Service Above Self award.
Zoe Davis received the title Rotarian of the Year for her hard work spearheading the club’s Rotary Soccer Classic, which net a new record in revenue. She is also a director for the club and demonstrates leadership, innovation and persistence.
Rebecca Gooden, club secretary and bulletin chair, expemplifies Rotary’s motto, “Service Above Self” and was awarded the title for this year. Gooden’s innovative bulletins have earned district awards for two years in a row. She takes photos, helps with media presentations, and despite her several jobs, she always finds time to make the club better.
The Rotary Club of Mount Pleasant is a service-based organization that has been part of the local community for 35 years. The club meets weekly and invites those interested to join us for a meeting. Please contact membship committee chairperson, Jack Libby, at 843-270-0585 for more information.
